What is the Beard Challenge? How does it work?

Men (Challenge Participants) grow their beards in support of the (YHH) Your Helping Hand of North America Food and Clothing Division

Yep, No Shaving!

Those interested must sign up by Friday Sept. 28th in order to be a Challenge Participant.

As a part of the challenge, Participants are reaching out into their Family/Friend networks in order to raise money for YHH. Funds raised will support continuing community efforts sponsored by YHH such as: Clothing Giveaways, Food distribution to Local Schools, and many more.

Also, this is a COMPETITION! Challenge Participants are competing for PRIZES. At the end of the challenge period, voting will take place by the YHH Board of Directors. Winners will be contacted and awarded a prize (and also published on this website).

The 'No Shaving' challenge period begins Monday Oct. 1st and ends on Friday Nov. 16th.

Exception: When extremely necessary, Challenge Participants can shave and restart growing their beard. But, this may impact their ability to win a prize!

Challenge Participant Commitments

1. Obtain $25 in Donations as a part of signing up for the challenge

(Or, Participant can donate)

2. Grow beard during set challenge period only

3. Spread the word and ask for YHH Donations in your name (Phone, Email, Social Media)

Heads up! There will be a Prize for the person who raises the most donations

4. Get at least (1) Buddy to Register for the Challenge

Same commitments above apply to the Buddy!

Although the commitment is to get (1) Buddy to sign up, there is no limit to how many Buddies you bring into the challenge.

Contest and Prizes

The YHH Board of Directors will use Photo(s) provided by Challenge Participants in order to vote on Winners for the below categories.

1. Longest Beard

2. Best Groomed Beard (Sexiest)

3. Most Donations

4. Most Creative Beard

Visa Gift Cards will be awarded to the Winners

YHH is dedicated to raising awareness of the Organization’s commitment to the Jacksonville community. Through the spirit of fellowship and networking, activities such as this Beard Challenge enable YHH to realize its vision and goals. We hope you get engaged in this fun event and are looking forward showcasing the charity of many!
