About Us
How it Began...
Your Helping Hand began in the mind of Dorinda Geans-Jay. She had a strong desire to help others and wanted an avenue to do so. Sitting in Rosetta’s (a local restaurant) realizing a need for advertising, financial, and renovation assistance, Dorinda decided she had to formally help the community, small business, and children. With a desire to help those in need and great individuals around her, she began with the 1st Art Auction in 2004, donating the proceeds to a Dual Lung Transplant Awaitee.
